Does school kill creativity?

A lot of children today don't know what to draw, for example, when someone asks them to do it. So the question is: where is creativity?

Children spend a lot of time at school and doing their homework. It is true that studying a lot of subjects and knowing a lot of things is important, but it isn't the unique thing.
At school children can't dance, sing and sometimes they are afraid of making mistakes and, for this reason, they don't try to do anything new, special or innovative. Especially young children just look at the teacher and his way to speak, his hobbies, the things he likes without understanding what they really like. And it could be a problem.

Others say that school is the "house of creativity", because lots of subjects can open children's minds and not focus only on one; then at school you meet other people different from you in the fields of culture and habits. It could improve your creativity.

We don't know if school really kills creativity, but we are trying to fight with it; in fact we started to write articles on our blog also in English. Maybe it could be a starter point not to forget creativity at all.
